Several people have been killed and others injured in a shooting at a shopping centre in the Danish capital, Copenhagen.
The suspected gunman, who is in custody, is a 22-year-old Danish man who was detained near the Fields mall, Police Inspector Søren Thomassen, head of the Copenhagen police operations unit, said.
He said it was too early to speculate on the motive for the shooting, but did not rule out terror.
“We have several dead and several injured,” Insp Thomassen said, though he gave no specific casualty count.
He said the suspect was an “ethnic Dane,” a phrase typically used to mean someone is white.
