Sentence due to end for double child killer Colin Pitchfork

Sky News published this video item, entitled “Sentence due to end for double child killer Colin Pitchfork” – below is their description.

A challenge against Colin Pitchfork has now been ‘refused’ by a judge-led review as his sentence from 1988 ends.

His crimes in Leicester saw the local MP try to use power to stop the parole board’s judgement but the legal levers left are not expected to be able to delay it any further.

He became the first man convicted of murder on the basis of DNA evidence after admitting two murders, two rapes, two indecent assaults.
