Republican Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina criticized President Joe Biden and argued he is failing to deliver on his promises in the GOP rebuttal to the President’s first address to a joint session of Congress on Wednesday evening.
The rebuttal speech is a chance for the party not in control of the White House to offer up a critique of the administration and an alternative vision for the country.
“Our nation is starving for more than empty platitudes,” Scott said on Wednesday after President Biden delivered address to lawmakers.
