Police have spent the bank holiday weekend breaking up illegal raves around the country and handing out the first £10,000 fines to organisers of these events.
About 3,000 people travelled to a Welsh village to attend an event despite new rules to crack down on mass gatherings.
Party-goers were described as “ignorant” by police, who said they were subject to abuse and violence while dispersing gatherings.
