CNBC Television published this video item, entitled “Second test confirms illegal drug in Kentucky Derby winner Medina Spirit” – below is their description.
A second test has confirmed the presence of illegal steroid betamethasone in Kentucky Derby winner Medina Spirit, who won the race on May 1. This puts the horse’s title further at risk. However, the horse’s trainer Bob Baffert said the drug may have come from an antifungal ointment and not an injection. Baffert has been suspended from entering horses in races at Churchill Downs for the next two years.
