Sea World crews have been refining their whale rescue skills with a simulated stranding at Main Beach this morning.
A fake whale was given a medical check and fitted with a towing harness.
“If a whale ends up on a beach, it takes a lot of people. So everyone gets trained, making sure it’s very safe for us to approach the whale.” – Wayne Philips, Head of Marine Sciences.
