Apart from top-class state protection, sea turtles enjoy full care, especially during breeding season, at the Huidong National Sea Turtle Nature Reserve in southern China. Nearly 1,000 eggs have been found since April 2021 at the conservation centre in Huizhou city, Guangdong province. Workers at the nature reserve said a female sea turtle has already laid a record 196 eggs in one nest this year.
