There was an important step towards the revival of Sydney’s art scene today with the opening of a new exhibition at The Rocks, ‘Sculpture Rocks’.

It features prized works by fourteen Japanese artists.

The free outdoor exhibition by Japanese artists can be viewed along Campbells Cove – between the Overseas Passenger Terminal and Hickson Reserve next to the Park Hyatt Hotel.

The public exhibition is presented by Sculpture by the Sea in partnership with Place Management NSW (PMNSW) and the Port Authority of NSW. The exhibition was officially opened by Minister for the Arts Don Harwin and features a beautifully refined selection of 18 artworks by 14 Japanese artists including Keizo Ushio, Takeshi Tanabe, Mitsuo Takeuchi, Ayako Saito and an ephemeral work by Akira Kamada.
