Scott Morrison demands China delete ‘repugnant’ ADF tweet | ABC News

ABC News (Australia) published this video item, entitled “Scott Morrison demands China delete ‘repugnant’ ADF tweet | ABC News” – below is their description.

The Prime Minister Scott Morrison is demanding the Chinese government delete what he’s described as a “repugnant” tweet attacking the Australian Defence Force, in the wake of a landmark war crimes inquiry. The tweet, posted by a Chinese government spokesperson, features a fake image of an Australian soldier holding a knife to the throat of a child, who’s sitting on the Afghan flag. It comes a fortnight after the release of an explosive war crimes inquiry which found credible evidence that Australian forces unlawfully killed 39 Afghan civilians during the conflict.
