Almost three billion animals were killed or displaced by the black summer bushfires of 2019 and 2020. But amidst the devastation some animals were saved, including more than a dozen koalas rescued by Zoos Victoria.

Producer Laura Kewley spoke to one of the veterinarians protecting our precious wildlife.
