    A group of supporters held a vigil for Sasha Johnson near the hospital where she is currently fighting life-threatening injuries.

    The leading Black Lives Matter activist was shot in the head on Sunday morning in what a friend has described as a rival gang clash at a house party.

    Police were called shortly before 3am to reports of gunshots in Consort Road, in Peckham, south London, where a young woman, named online as Sasha Johnson, was suffering from a gunshot injury.

    It is thought that Ms Johnson was in a garden when she was hit by a stray bullet intended for a gang member.
