Sandstorm sweeps over Niger’s capital

A #sandstorm swept over Niamey, the capital of #Niger, with a large wall of sand engulfing buildings as it rolled over the city on May 4, 2020. Large plumes of reddish #dust appeared to be hundreds of meters high. Sandstorms are common across West Africa during the dry season which usually lasts from January to April.
