California officials and authorities are expected to provide an update Wednesday on the mass shooting at a VTA rail yard that left eight people dead after a gunman opened fire earlier that day.

Officials said in a briefing that a bomb squad is on scene after explosive devices were found inside the rail facility.

During an initial press conference, San Jose police spokesman Russell Davis confirmed there were multiple fatalities and multiple wounded, but the exact number was not immediately disclosed. He also confirmed that the suspect is dead.
