ABC News (Australia) published this video item, entitled “Samoa locks down for two days for COVID-19 vaccination blitz | The World” – below is their description.

Samoa has declared an official lockdown to ensure people have every opportunity to receive a vaccine, as it launches a two-day blitz to administer 30,000 Astrazeneca jabs to eligible citizens.

Tess Newton Cain from the Pacific Hub at the Griffith Asia Institute says it’s a similar approach to the way Samoa succesfully tackled its measles outbreak in 2019.
