Safety or cash grab? Anger over speed camera in 30 km/h zone in western sydney | 7news

7NEWS Australia published this video item, entitled “Safety or cash grab? Anger over speed camera in 30 km/h zone in western Sydney | 7NEWS” – below is their description.

A Western Sydney mayor is fuming over the location of a 30 kilometre an hour speed camera, slamming it as a “cash grab.” It’s one of the top-performing speed detection spots in the state, raking in more than $2 million in fines so far this year. The speed limit was lowered back in July 2020 to reduce crashes, while encouraging locals to get active during COVID. The local council is now lobbying to have the speed limit increased.
