Sky News Australia published this video item, entitled “SA to roll out mandatory QR check-ins for venues” – below is their description.
South Australia is set to roll out a COVID-safe QR check-in system from next Tuesday in a bid to boost contact tracing capabilities. Patrons will be required to check in at venues such as pubs, cafes, restaurants and sporting facilities. Premier Steven Marshall promised personal details would only be accessed by health officials and will be deleted after 28 days. Chief Public Health Officer Nicola Spurrier said the move would improve contact tracing’s efficiency. “They can immediately, 24/7, go straight to that database instead of waiting until the next day to get hold of a business and to get those details,” she said.
