Sky News Australia published this video item, entitled “SA police investigation into Adelaide cluster expected to conclude within days” – below is their description.
SA Police Assistant Commissioner Peter Harvey has revealed the police investigation into a pizza bar worker who lied to contact tracers is expected to conclude by the end of the week. The 36-year-old Spanish national lied to Adelaide authorities about his employment – which led to the entire state being forced into a six-day lockdown. He told Sky News investigation was “rapidly unfolding” and the taskforce – of more than 20 officers – was examining the contents of digital devices seized “to see whether there’s any evidence there that can assist our lines of inquiry”. He said they were looking through hard drives for details “such as who was at Peppers, who wasn’t, who said they were but weren’t”. “It may be nothing, it may be nearly 480 hours for no purpose from an investigation sense but the great outcome from this that the information from the CCTV is also passed over to contact tracing, which is very important so health can actually do their vital role,” Mr Harvey said.
