    Mourners gathered outside the U.S. Supreme Court on Saturday following the death of United States Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Ginsburg, a worldwide icon for gender equality, died of metastatic pancreatic cancer at the age of 87, the court confirmed Friday. She was one of the longest-serving Supreme Court Justices, having been appointed to the bench in 1993 by then-President Bill Clinton and was only the second woman ever to hold a seat on the country’s highest court. The court confirmed that Ginsburg died at her home in Washington, D.C. with her family by her side.
