Global News published this video item, entitled “Ruth Bader Ginsburg becomes 1st woman to lie in state at US Capitol” – below is their description.

Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, a champion of gender equality, made history on Friday as the first woman and the first Jewish American to lie in state in the U.S. Capitol. Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden, who presided over Ginsburg’s confirmation hearings as a senator in 1993, was among those at the Capitol for Friday’s ceremony. Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi welcomed invited guests, and Rabbi Lauren Holtzblatt honoured the late Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg with a speech, calling her “our prophet, our north star, our strength.” The personal trainer for late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg surprised the guests when he did push-ups in front of her casket as a tribute.
