Russian elections: Parliamentary vote due in September

In September, people in Russia will be going to the polls to vote in parliamentary elections. Despite being a federation, Russia has a highly centralised political system, which leaves the country’s many regions removed from the decisions of power.

Al Jazeera’s Rory Challands reports from central Siberia on the relationship between Russia’s governing authorities and the places they rely on for support.
