A student opened fire on a university campus in central Russia on September 20, killing at least six people and wounding 28 others. Minister of Science and Higher Education Valery Falkov said the shooting at Perm State University was a “grave tragedy” and offered condolences to the families of the victims. Falkov said at a meeting with university principals that most of those in the hospital “are on the mend.”
