Russia claims west is waging war against kremlin, using ukrainians as "cannon fodder"

Global News published this video item, entitled “Russia claims West is waging war against Kremlin, using Ukrainians as “cannon fodder”” – below is their description.

Russia’s ambassador to the United Nations Vasily Nabenzya told the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on Tuesday that the situation in Ukraine was the result of the West waging war on Russia “until the last Ukrainian.” He claimed that Ukrainians were being used as “cannon fodder.”

The United States and Ukraine responded to Nabenzya’s claims, by telling fellow UNSC members that Russia was not serious about negotiating an end to the war.

U.S. Ambassador Linda Carty said that Russian President Vladimir Putin has “no genuine interest in negotiation or a meaningful diplomacy.” She said Russia was trying to “break Ukraine’s will to fight by bombing and freezing its civilians into submission.”

Meanwhile, Sergiy Kyslytsya, Ukraine’s permanent representative to the UN, said Ukraine “harbours no illusions” about Russia’s readiness for peace and called Russia “a brainwashed society ruled by war criminals and educated with hatred.”
