It’s been bucketing down with rain this week, so why is it that our biggest city is facing a water crisis?

Auckland City reservoirs are at their lowest levels in 25 years, and water restrictions are in place across the region. It’s a shortage that Watercare predicted seven years ago when they first proposed to take more water from the Waikato, so why has nothing being done to avoid this problem in all this time?
