U.S. President Joe Biden went on the attack against his political opponents on Wednesday, casting them as extremists with what he called “ultra-MAGA agendas.”
It was a ramp-up in rhetoric after the leak of a Supreme Court draft decision that suggests it could overturn the landmark Roe v. Wade ruling that legalized abortion in the country. Thousands of Americans have taken to the streets after the decision leaked, which called the 1973 ruling “egregiously wrong from the start.
And while it is a draft, not a final ruling, Biden and others raised concerns that it could lead to further erosion of other human rights in America. Jackson Proskow reports.
