South China Morning Post published this video item, entitled “Rising sea levels threaten Bangladeshi capital Dhaka” – below is their description.
Rising sea levels in coastal cities around the world, such as Venice and Jakarta, risk going under water in just a few decades. The UN Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change predicts that water levels in coastal areas could rise 60 centimetre (24 inches) by 2100, even if global warming is kept to below two degrees Celsius (3.6 Fahrenheit). Nowhere is the impending disaster more evident than in the Bangladeshi capital, Dhaka.
