Rishi Sunak hints at potential increase to public sector pay

Daily Mail published this video item, entitled “Rishi Sunak hints at potential increase to public sector pay” – below is their description.

Rishi Sunak today announced the UK’s minimum wage will increase from £8.91 to £9.50 an hour next year. The inflation-busting rise of 59p will deliver an annual salary boost of an extra £1,000 to a full-time worker. Mr Sunak said the wage hike ‘keeps us on track to meet our target to end low pay by the end of this Parliament’. The move will be confirmed at the Budget on Wednesday amid reports the Chancellor is also planning to unfreeze public sector pay, prompting a backlash from campaigners.
