CGTN published this video item, entitled “Riders forced to walk down after roller coaster malfunction” – below is their description.
Thirty-two tourists visiting the Nanjing Happy Valley theme park in eastern China had to walk down a roller coaster track after it got stuck on December 28.
Footage shows the moment when the roller coaster gets stuck on its track while ascending, forcing tourists to walk back down from the dizzying height.
No injuries were reported and Nanjing Happy Valley issued an apology on the same day. After a preliminary investigation, the incident occurred due to a fault with the external substation. The tourists were all issued a refund by the theme park and had their tickets rescheduled for another day.
