South China Morning Post published this video item, entitled “‘Relief for world’ as first Ukraine grain ship since start of war departs Odesa” – below is their description.
The first Ukrainian grain shipment since the start of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine left the port of Odesa on August 1, 2022, under a deal aimed at relieving a global food crisis. The blockage of deliveries from Russia and Ukraine – two of the world’s biggest grain exporters – has contributed to soaring food prices, hitting the world’s poorest nations especially hard.
In July, both sides signed a landmark deal with Türkiye and the United Nations to let grain ships pass three Odesa ports safely.
