‘Racial segregation continues’ in South African universities

Twenty-six years after the end of apartheid in South Africa, black students believe university campuses are still effectively segregated.

It has led to violent protests over the past two years, as they demand reduced tuition fees, better classrooms and improved teaching.

Al Jazeera’s Natasha Ghoneim speaks with disillusioned students near Johannesberg, in Gauteng Province.
