It’s Australia’s most controversial renovation project – a $500 million makeover of the Australian War Memorial in Canberra.

There are fears the institution is being transformed into something closer to a theme park, while eyebrows are also being raised at the hefty price tag.

But those backing the development say the current memorial doesn’t properly recognise our recent diggers.
