ABC News (Australia) published this video item, entitled “Queensland’s COVID restrictions have eased. Here’s what’s changed | ABC News” – below is their description.
Some restrictions in south-east Queensland, Cairns and Yarrabah have eased, two days ahead of schedule.
The changes will apply to millions of residents in 11 local government areas in the south-east and far North Queensland.
Masks are no longer required outdoors but they must still be worn indoors for another week – including by teachers, staff and high school students in classrooms.
Businesses like cafes, pubs and restaurants can have one person per 4 square metres but smaller venues can only have one person per 2 square metres.
Restrictions are also easing in Cairns and Yarrabah in Far North Queensland, where there will be no limits on people gathering in public spaces.
