Sky News Australia published this video item, entitled “Queensland to relax New South Wales border restrictions” – below is their description.
Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has announced her state will be completely open to all New South Wales residents from December 1, after Chief Health Officer Jeanette Young said she was satisfied with the case numbers in Sydney. Prior to this the Greater Sydney region was not able to enter the Sunshine State. “Dr Young is now satisfied that they have reached the over 28 days, so can I say to New South Wales – we welcome you to Queensland from 1 December,” Mr Palaszczuk said. “We know how tough this has been on families. “I hope this is welcome news. I think it’s great news in the lead-up to Christmas, but once again, that timely reminder for everybody – we need to make sure that we continue to keep up our social distancing.” Ms Palaszczuk also said she will make an announcement regarding Victoria on Wednesday.
