Sky News Australia published this video item, entitled “Queensland set for economic influx of $600m by end of 2020” – below is their description.
Queensland is set to see $600 million pumped into the economy by the end of the year as families will reunite after the state’s border to New South Wales falls completely on December 1. Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk on Tuesday announced Queensland will be open to all residents of New South Wales from December 1. The Courier Mail is reporting the premier’s announcement came too late for families who have already suffered the consequences of the hard border, but it will be welcomed by thousands as the decision is set to see $20 million pumped into the economy every day until the end of the year. Adoni Media Managing Director Leisa Goddard commented, “now we’re seeing the tourism operators finally getting what they’ve been begging for”. “Finally, there’s some light at the end of the tunnel,” she said.
