COVID Vaccines: Annastacia Palaszczuk MP has defended receiving a Pfizer COVID vaccine this morning instead of AstraZeneca.

The Queensland Premier says she may need to attend the Tokyo Olympics next month, meaning she could only receive Pfizer, which requires a three-week wait between doses, instead of AstraZeneca, which requires 12 weeks.

Australian health authorities prefer over-50s to receive AstraZeneca vaccines instead of Pfizer’s.
