7NEWS Australia published this video item, entitled “Queensland parents separated from junior sport after unruly behaviour | 7NEWS” – below is their description.
A Queensland junior sporting club has brought in strict new rules to separate parents from the field, after recent clashes between spectators, umpires and volunteers.
Crowds at Burleigh Bombers matches will now have to watch matches behind a fence for the rest of the season, which the club says is necessary to clamp down on poor behaviour.
“We’re just trying to provide that environment where they can come and play football and leave it all out on the field.” – Burleigh Bombers Junior AFL Club President, Nick Mallen.
