Queen’s Platinum Jubilee: Key lessons from the past for the future

Global News published this video item, entitled “Queen’s Platinum Jubilee: Key lessons from the past for the future” – below is their description.

The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, celebrating Queen Elizabeth II’s 70-year reign, has come to an end following four days of events honouring the monarch.

The monarch herself only attended some of the events, including the Trooping the Colour parade, but had to pare back appearances due to ongoing mobility issues. But despite this, she still appeared in other ways, including a heartwarming video with Paddington Bear and a surprise jaunt onto the balcony of Buckingham Palace at the end of the Platinum Jubilee pageant on Sunday to wave at crowds.

In a Global News special program, Europe Bureau Chief Crystal Goomansingh explores what lessons the Platinum Jubilee celebrations are drawing from the past to chart the path for the future.
