Global News published this video item, entitled “Quebec moving ahead with reopening plan; Montreal, Laval to stay as COVID-19 red zones | FULL” – below is their description.

The majority of Quebec regions will be downgraded to orange on the government’s COVID-19 pandemic-related scale next week, but the Montreal and Laval areas will remain designated red zones until at least June 7.

Curfew will be lifted, outdoor dining spaces at restaurants will open and small outdoor gatherings will be permitted as planned across the province starting Friday, however.

Quebec Premier François Legault made the announcement on Tuesday, in what marks the lowest daily tally of infections recorded since mid-September 2020.

Quebec is reporting 346 new COVID-19 cases, the latest roundup making the third consecutive day that it is under 500. Six additional deaths were recorded, but none of them took place in the past 24 hours. They occurred between May 18 and May 23.
