Asked what led to Neera Tanden’s withdrawal Tuesday night of her nomination to head the Office of Management and Budget, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said on Wednesday Tanden “saw that the path to her own confirmation was was narrowed and did not look like there was a path forward.”

She said Biden continues to look for a place for her in his administration, likely a position that does not require Senate confirmation.
