Abortion rights activists across the United States are sending a clear message after the overturn of Roe vs Wade. Thousands of demonstrators in major cities held largely peaceful protests in reaction to the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the landmark 1973 decision.

The city of Akron, Ohio, has imposed an overnight curfew in response to growing tensions and protests after police shot and killed 25-year-old Jayland Walker in a bungled traffic stop. More protests are expected into the evening in response to the shooting, despite the new curfew.
