Protests in Turkey as government crackdown continues

Water cannon, tear gas and rubber bullets have been used by police in Turkish city of Istanbul to disperse protesters angry over the arrests of politicians and journalists.

The arrests are part of a widening government crackdown that has drawn condemnation from some of Turkey’s Western allies.
