Global News published this video item, entitled “Protesters march to Supreme Court against move to replace Ginsburg ahead of U.S. election” – below is their description.
Dozens of protesters marched to the Supreme Court early on Monday shouting “no confirmation before inauguration,” while hundreds rallied outside Sen. Lindsey Graham’s house in Washington, D.C. to protest replacing Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg’s position before the presidential election. Ginsburg, who died of pancreatic cancer complications on Friday, reportedly said her most “fervent wish” was to not be replaced until a new president takes office. Ginsburg’s death upended the November election campaign, energizing both the conservative base of President Donald Trump and presenting new complications in the battle for control of the U.S. Senate. “I will be putting forth a nominee next week. It will be a woman,” Trump said at a campaign rally over the weekend in Fayetteville, North Carolina, where supporters chanted: “Fill that seat.” For more info, please go to http://www.globalnews.ca Subscribe to Global News Channel HERE: http://bit.ly/20fcXDc Like Global News on Facebook HERE: http://bit.ly/255GMJQ Follow Global News on Twitter HERE: http://bit.ly/1Toz8mt Follow Global News on Instagram HERE: https://bit.ly/2QZaZIB #GlobalNews #RGB
