Thousands of protesters marched through #Manila to mark International #WomensDay on Sunday, where they set fire to an effigy in the image of Filipino President Rodrigo #Duterte.
Protesters can be seen marching with placards and banners, and chanting slogans. The effigy of Duterte depicts the Filipino president carrying a gun and with an American flag shirt, before it is burned by protesters.
The march was carried out despite the threat of COVID-19, and was organised by the group Gabriela – Alliance of Filipino Women, a leftist Filipino organisation that advocates for women’s rights.
