7NEWS Australia published this video item, entitled “Protester Mali Cooper blocked traffic the Sydney Harbour Tunnel | 7NEWS” – below is their description.

All charges have been dismissed against a protester who blocked the Sydney Harbour Tunnel, disrupting traffic after her lawyer claimed she suffered climate change anxiety.

22-year-old Blockade Australia protester Mali Cooper was charged under tough new road laws after she locked her head to the steering wheel of her car in June. While she live streamed, traffic banked up for kilometres leaving drivers furious.

Today a Lismore magistrate dismissed the charges on mental health grounds. Her lawyer argued that climate change had a psychological impact on his client who had witnessed the Lismore floods. The transport minister says the result is disappointing.
