  • Al Jazeera English published this video item, entitled “Pro-presidential parties dominate Kyrgyzstan parliamentary vote” – below is their description.

Kyrgyzstan, one of Central Asia’s poorest countries, has been voting for a new parliament. Two parties with close links to the government look set to dominate. Preliminary results suggest a much bigger majority for pro-government parties than in the last parliamentary election in 2015. At least three opposition parties have already rejected those results, and analysts say more opposition parties may do the same. Al Jazeera’s Charles Stratford reports from the Kyrgyz capital, Bishkek. –
