Priti Patel has urged the public to ‘think about other people’ after a weekend that saw thousands break social distancing rules as they flocked to beaches and street parties. Patel made the comments as it was revealed police had warned ministers that the decision to reopen pubs on 4 July could lead to increased violence and that coastal resorts could be overrun.
