BBC News published this video item, entitled “Prince William calls for entrepeneurs to “repair this planet” not explore space travel – BBC News” – below is their description.

Prince William has suggested entrepreneurs like Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk and Sir Richard Branson should focus on saving the Earth rather than engaging in space tourism.

The Duke of Cambridge said great brains and minds should be “trying to repair this planet, not trying to find the next place to go and live”.

Talking to BBC Newscast’s Adam Fleming, he explained how the inaugural Earthshot Prize will aim to reward people providing inspiring and innovative solutions to problems facing the planet.

The prize’s name is a reference to the “moonshot” ambition of 1960s America, which saw President John F Kennedy pledge to get a man on the moon within a decade.
