Prince William and Kate visit COVID-19 vaccination centre to mark UK lockdown anniversary

Global News published this video item, entitled “Prince William and Kate visit COVID-19 vaccination centre to mark UK lockdown anniversary” – below is their description.

Prince William and wife Kate Middleton visited a COVID-19 vaccination centre inside London’s Westminster Abbey, the same venue where their royal wedding took place nearly 10 years ago.

The royal couple visited the abbey on the day of reflection in Britain to mark a year since the first lockdown was announced in the country.

When asked about getting the vaccine, Prince William said “it’ll take me a while to get mine, but you’re getting there pretty fast so it won’t be long. I don’t mind. I’ve had plenty of vaccinations in my time – I get jabbed a lot.”

Britain’s vaccine rollout is the fastest in any major economy, with more than 27.6 million people, well over half the adult population, receiving at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
