    1. I am Head of Humanities at a school in Hervey Bay and currently stuck in Scotland. I have been preparing online lessons all year. Morrison’s government needs to lift the current border control ban on skilled teachers so they can return to their jobs. I’m fully vaccinated and taught in Qld for 3yrs. I left Qld in 2020 when my mum was diagnosed with terminal cancer. She died in March. I’m heartbroken by her passing and the government have rejected my application for exemption to travel 5 times. I want to return to my Australian Civil Partner and my teaching job. There must be hundreds of teachers like me who are stuck abroad. Please raise awareness. Our students deserve our expertise to teach them our specialist subjects. Last term a design technology teacher was teaching my Legal Studies students! This is not only outrageous, but detrimental to a child’s education!
