China is set to provide up to 2 billion doses of coronavirus vaccines globally this year. The announcement was made on Thursday in a written message from Chinese President Xi Jinping to a newly launched forum on COVID-19 vaccine cooperation. Xi also said China would donate $100 million to the COVAX initiative. He said China remains committed to common health for mankind and helping developing countries fight the pandemic.
