President Trump All Caps Tweets: “OBAMAGATE!”

The US President published the following all capitals message on Twitter, and included a video from the Tucker Carlson show on Fox News.

The one-word phrase was simply: OBAMAGATE!

More than one news outlet had picked up on President Trump’s failure to explain in person, when questioned by the Washington Post about what, exactly, Obamagate consisted of, for example, here and here.

Tucker Carlson appears to suggest that the scandal here, is that outgoing President Obama’s team were apparently questioning whether or not to hand over sensitive material which relates to Russia to the incoming Trump administration. The inference being that they had been investigating some, or all, of Trump’s team, specifically with regard to their connection with Russia, at some stage.

Does this seem a thin basis for a new “gate” – or was this a scandalous way to treat a new President? Leave your comments below. Please note comments are moderated before publication.
